ENCORE!: Theatre Programme for Ages 7–10

ENCORE! is a fun, confidence-building drama programme designed for children ages 7–10 who want to explore performance and prepare for the stage in a supportive, playful environment.

Through Readers’ Theatre, guided script reading, and introductory acting activities, students learn how to bring stories to life using their voices, facial expressions, and movement—without the pressure of memorisation or elaborate staging.

Using engaging, age-appropriate scripts, children develop reading fluency, comprehension, and confidence while exploring character, emotion, and storytelling. Drama games and short performance activities help students practise clear speech, expressive reading, basic movement, and teamwork.

The focus is on participation, creativity, and enjoyment. Every child is encouraged to try different roles, take creative risks, and perform alongside peers. By the end of the programme, students will feel more confident reading aloud, collaborating with others, and performing simple scenes for an audience.
